Be Aware of Debit Card Scams
Please be alert for a new debit card scam. Fraudsters are sending text messages that indicate your debit card has been locked and ask you to call a Fraud Center phone number they provide. Once you call the fraudulent number, you are asked to share confidential financial information.
Tips to Spot Scams
Not sure if a text or email is a scam? Pay special attention to messages that contain any of the following:
- Poor grammar.
- Spelling errors.
- Provide few details.
- Create a sense of urgency.
